She was admitted to hospital on April 25th and sadly died on the 27th of COVID-19. I'm sure the staff did all they could and we are only sorry that she didn't have more time to enjoy herself at Westhill Park. The last few weeks for these guys must have been so tough, but the staff have been brilliant and giving us an update every few days which as a family we have really appreciated. We can not express enough how grateful we are to the whole team for being there for the residents during these crazy times. The staff at Westhill Park continue to go above and beyond what would be expected in a good care home. My father has been looked after and entertained, even while confined to his room for two weeks. He is very happy there, and his family are very grateful that he is in such a wonderful home.

It has been a trying time for everyone over the last few months but the staff have been wonderful, supportive to both my mother and myself. Her pain relief has been sorted and a district nurse involved in her care on day 3! As a retired school cook, she knows what she means when she says the food is lovely! Our cinema room is great for catching up on favourite programmes or just relaxing with a film. The room is multi-purpose and can easily be converted to a games room or other communal use. We can also arrange to set up a screen for Skype calls with loved ones. Our gardens are landscaped and designed to be accessible for all, with flat even surfaces and raised beds to promote independence and somewhere to sit and watch the world go by. Our garden areas have been thoughtfully planned to encourage everyone to enjoy the outdoors. There are a selection of lounge spaces and dining rooms on each floor, allowing everyone freedom of choice and the independence to move around the building as they please.
Westhill Park Care Home understand when moving into a new home that residents want certainty and security. From our experience, "billable extras" are an unnecessary irritation, so at Westhill Park we don’t have any. Also known as Care & Repair agencies, are local non-profit organisations set up to help older people think about, plan, finance and organise work on their homes.
